Helen Hayes Hospital is located in Rockland County, approximately 45 minutes north of the George Washington Bridge.

From New York City: Take the George Washington Bridge to the Palisades Interstate Parkway North. Take exit 14 and turn right onto Willow Grove Road. Continue straight (road becomes Filors Lane) to Route 9W. Turn right onto Route 9W and hospital entrance is 1/8 mile on right.

From Northern New Jersey: Take Route 287 North, merge onto the NYS Thruway South. Take exit 13 North onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway. On Palisades, take exit 14. Turn right onto Willow Grove Road and continue directions as described from New York City.

From Central New Jersey: Take the Garden State Parkway North and merge onto the NYS Thruway going south. Take exit 13 North onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway. On Palisades, take exit 14. Turn right onto Willow Grove Road and continue directions as described from New York City.

From Lower Westchester: Take the Tappan Zee Bridge and stay on the NYS Thruway to exit 13 North onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway. On Palisades, take exit 14. Turn right onto Willow Grove Road and continue directions as described from New York City.

From Upper Westchester: Take the Bear Mountain Bridge to Route 9W South. Follow Route 9W south for about 9 miles. After passing a Walgreens on the right, watch for the hospital entrance just ahead on the right.

From Upstate New York: Take the NYS Thruway South to exit 16. After the toll booth, take exit ramp following signs for Route 6. Make a left onto Route 32. Follow Route 32 briefly and at traffic light make a left onto Route 6 East. Follow Route 6 and at the traffic circle, exit onto Palisades Interstate Parkway South. Continue on Palisades to exit 14. Turn left onto Willow Grove Road and continue directions as described from New York City.

From Western New York: Take Route 17 East to Exit 130A (Route 6). Follow Route 6 and at the traffic circle, exit onto Palisades Interstate Parkway South. Continue on Palisades to exit 14. Turn left onto Willow Grove Road and continue directions as described from New York City.

By Public Transporation: Red and Tan Lines operates a daily service of local and express buses originating from the Port Authority Terminal in New York City including the #11A, 47 and 49 routes. Click here for schedules.
