| CAD-CAM |
 |
|
The Helen Hayes
Hospital Prosthetic Orthotic Center utilize state-of
the-art CAD-CAM (Computer Aided Design - Computer Aided
Manufacturing) technology to produce prosthetic devices.
This technological |
| breakthrough has revolutionized
the way prosthetics are designed and produced. Devices
can now be made quicker, and with a greater degree of
accuracy than ever before. In addition, because all
of a patient's data is stored in the computer that produces
their individual device, it is easy to track anatomical
changes and determine when a new device may be necessary.
